Oxnam is 3 miles South of the historic Town of Jedburgh, which has
    •   an Abbey founded in 1138
   • a castle jail founded in 1100’s
   • Queen Mary of Scots house, founded in 1566.

Jedburgh itself, is approximately 45 miles South of Edinburgh and approximately 47 miles North of Newcastle upon Tyne.
