The 8th Oxnam Gymkhana attracted an entry of 95 competitors, who took part in a variety of classes. We are very grateful to Mr & Mrs Sandy Scott, and son Peter for the excellent venue and to all the helpers & judges who made the event possible. £400 was raised which will help with the annual running costs of the village hall.
Overall group winners:
Open – Julie Roxburgh-Lowrie on Dante won the Allan Family Trophy, joint Reserves – Melanie Goodson on Fraeda and Elisa Mackie on Macadubh.
13-15yrs – Winner of the Marquis of Lothian Trophy was Anna Ramsay with Holly, equal first and winner of the Oxnam Hall cup was Lyndsay Allan on Murphy. Reserve was Sarah Page on Blue, who also won the Oxnam Primary School cup for the best under 16 residing in Oxnam.
10-12 yrs – Winner of the Bill Scott Memorial Trophy was Bridget Green on Lulu. Reserve was Abby Taylor on Merlin’s Mystery.
9yrs & under – Lucy Ramsay on Jim won the Robert Darling Memorial Trophy and Reserve was twin sister Gina on Tim.
6yrs & over lead rein – Winner of the Oxnam Shield was Rosa Onslow on Sparkle. Reserve was Rebecca Dun on Kizzy.
5yrs & under lead rein – Winner of the Logan Family Trophy was Lucinda Crawford on Trooper, Reserve – was last year’s winner Lucy Brown on George.
Working Hunter Champion – Alex Mundell on Crosbeian Go Lightly, Reserve – Holly Stewart on Sunrising Plover.
