Just a few pictures of Oxnam Kirk, in all its Glory! There are a few things going on here, so watch this space! There are plans in the near future for a Sunday School. There are also plans for development around the Church area, which is being looked into by the Oxnam Kirk Environmental Group.
This building is not the original Church of Oxnam, but is a newer building, which was erected around 1738. The original building was there for approximately 5 centuries previously. The Kirk has had several modifications / additions over the years, including the erection of a small watch tower. This was used for the relatives of deceased people to guard the graves of their Loved-ones, during the time when “Body snatchers” were rife.
